#houstonweather2010 #whymovetophoenix defies generalizations as year was both hot & cold & wet & dry. The year started out cold w/ avg temps 4 to 8 degrees colder than avg during Jan, Feb & Mar. Yearly rainfall is well below avg areawide & SE TX is in midst of a significant drought. Much of the northern 1/2 is now in extreme drough. Drought conditions are expected to persist or perhaps intensify through early 2011
